Last night i had the biggest temptation and i did not give into it...i held my ground and I was so happy and i prayed and thanked Heavenly Father for the strength!!

Then this morning happened and I forgot everything and i slipped and fell so now I'm back to day one...I feel horrible and stupid...I know what I did was wrong...the only difference is, is this time I'm gonna get help the right way.

I'm gonna start with step 5 and then step 1.

I understand
"Well, congrats for not giving in last night. That's better than I did."

"Personally, I think the two of you deserve a big hurrah!

Why? Because you came and posted here within hours of messing up. Telling others that you just screwed up is hard, and not everyone does it. It shows you want to change. The sooner you come report on your mistake, the better. Next time, report to us IMMEDIATELY (within minutes or seconds) after slipping. Then, the time after that, you might be able to report to us while you are in the midst of temptation--BEFORE you act out, which might prevent another mistake. Bravo, though, for reporting so quickly after falling. That's how you get back up after a fall.

Furthermore, Hurrah for the progress. You gals may have just lost a "game" against your enemy during the last 24 hours, but you are winning the series. If Britta has been clean ever since she started coming to this site, she's 14-1. That's a darn good record, and it's only going to get better. I don't know what your record is, DStanley, but isn't it a miracle when you can string together any number of clean days? What a gift from God. Hurrah!

So, I'm going to be positive for a minute and remind you both that you are good people, fighting a problem that LOTS of people have--but not everyone is fighting it like you. You WANT (you are willing) to give yourselves to God; that makes you good. And God wants you. He loves you. Keep up the good work!"

"I've only had 5 sets of slips in the last 2 years (the longest was 2 weeks). I'm also pretty well down to just mb, rarely with porn (one slip with s~xual chatting in the last 2 years). The best thing is that it has almost been 2 years since I slipped with s~x. I've had two stretches of almost 8 months. Before 2 years ago, I rarely even went a week. Thanks for the reminder that any stretch of time is a miracle."

Having looked on the bright side...
"Now that you're standing back up again, redouble your efforts to turn yourselves COMPLETELY over to Heavenly Father. Give yourself to him, and pray he won't let you fall again."

"If it were possible to make your road very easy, you wouldn’t grow in strength. If you were always forgiven for every mistake without effort on your part, you would never receive the blessings of repentance. If everything were done for you, you wouldn’t learn how to work, or gain self-confidence, or acquire the power to change. "
