Finding a Qualified Therapist

Hello Friends

I am wondering if anyone has tips for finding local therapy options. Thus far, I haven't had much success in this venture. I will be relocating soon to one of a few possible areas that I am quite unfamiliar with. If I had a general idea asto what resources are avail for a given area, that would assist in the decision-making process immensely.

Thank you

My therapist
"FWIW my therapist is Dr Paul Jenkins. I do not live in UT and so I met with him over Skype and that worked beautifully for me and my schedule.

If you want some one to meet with face to face, but if you want to check him out, he will do a free 30 min session with you to see if you are a good match. He really helped me switch my paradigm so that I could start to see hope again. He gave me tools to detach and end my codependency. Other people just let me do 'talk' therapy and I was all talked out. I needed actual help. Anyway, that's my review.

Good luck."

"Thanks for the quick response. I looked into that, and I'm not sure that I can afford his services. It doesn't look like he takes insurance and my cash flow is limited. However, I do come across some useful information on the website.

Church assistance
"He does work with the church if your bishop is willing to help with assistance. I know that is not the way any of us want to go, but I LOVE knowing my tithes would go to helping people be healthy."

I have benefity from Life Changing Services
"Mrpuppy1983.
I have found great help through the Men of Morni Program through Life Changing services. They have a marriage repair workshop weekly on Thursday evenings which has been really helpful for me to focus on what I can change and how to see things differently. THey also offer more of a coaching situation where I work on goals to get some traction moving forward and gaining confidence. the coach is not a LMFT, but I have really benefit for what it is worth"

"[The Savior] is saying to us, "Trust me, learn of me, do what I do. Then, when you walk where I am going," He says, "we can talk about where you are going, and the problems you face and the troubles you have. If you will follow me, I will lead you out of darkness," He promises. "I will give you answers to your prayers. I will give you rest to your souls.""
