This is so creepy. I got a brand new nonsecret phone because my old one broke. And what do I find on it but a picture of Greg, my former live that I have been trying to quit. It seems there is no option to delete this picture, either. SO triggered. Surrendering and freaking out. Argh.

is it iPhone?
"an out of box phone obviously can't have a picture of Greg put there during manufacture. Maybe it was synced from your photo stream in iCloud? So as soon as you logged in with your Apple ID the picture was there from the cloud. If so last time I checked (9 months ago - long time in tech world) you can delete your photo stream directly from icloud dot com. If it's not that tell us what phone it is and someone here surely can help."

Yeah, it's so unfair, and welcome to the club
"All of us are going to be retried like that, and it's so unfair. One woman had gotten off her drug addiction (pain killers) for years, had a family, life was fine. Then she gets in a car accident, wakes up in the hospital and they've pumped her full of pain killers and she's addicted again. This happens to so many of us, so be ready for it.

I think this is God's way of saying that we still need to get to the roots of our problem and not just abstain. Like some wise people have said on this site and elsewhere, there's a difference between abstinence and recovery.

I've had so many "unfair" things happen in regards to my MB prob that I've wondered if God wanted me to be addicted. Anyway, my prayers will go out for you tonight. Maybe you could pray for me and for some others on this site? But please, whatever you do (not sure what you mean by surrendering), don't contact him."

"love you. Your doing awesome. REmember what I said that satan loved me to have many coincidence....he and all his ministry...but I KNOW that God is more powerful than anything if we ask Him. He makes Miracles. It's a Miracle I'm sober everyday.:) and all by the Power of Lord and grace in His hands cuz I'm begging for His help to protect me. ."

"@They Speak.... The phone is an Android. Checked the email address I put in that phone and could find the picture to delete it. Don't have cloud data storage. Talked to the hubs and he didn't know how to get rid of the pic, either. Gonna format my phone and create some anonymous email address to satisfy the email address requirement. Hopefully, that works. We shall see.

@Dog.... Thanks. :) Not gonna contact him, even though it is tempting because my body craves him big time after seeing him.

@Marie... Thanks. :) You are right. I am staying sober, somehow. Whew!"

That should work
"But Android, kind of similar to iPhone, can automatically sync your photos to Picasa so then when you get a new phone they automatically show up in your gallery. If you don't want to do the new email thing you can delete your Picasa photo's from your library.

Here's a video explaining how.

( )

If there are photo's you want to keep just make sure you save them somewhere else by emailing them to yourself or sharing them to a Facebook gallery or what ever before you delete your Picasa gallery. On my Android the Picasa photo albums have a little rainbow colored circle thing in the bottom left corner of the folder. Should be the same on yours so you'll know what you're deleting and if you want to save any of it. Hope that helps! :)"

Cool. Thanks. :)
"Yeah, I don't have Picassa. But now I might get it. :) Can't figure out where the pic came from. But nowit's gone. Yay. :)

"Just uses the Picasa server to store photo's you take on your phone. It's automatic. You don't have to download it or sign up. But if you followed those steps it should no longer be syncing. If you want a syncing/storage service you can now do the same thing with Facebook if you want. Lots of options. Anyway, glad we got rid of that virus (Greg)."

"@They Speak... Thanks for explaining Picassa. I had no idea about it. Also, missed you at the meetings. Hopefully, you are doing okay, though.

@They Speak and Marie.....Yeah, Greg is a sickness for me. But I really care about him and I so hope he turns around one day so he can be truly happy. Right after I formatted my phone and lost Greg's picture, I found a message from Good in a drawing from oneof my little girls. It had a picture of the planet Earth and it said, "God's plan is a Plan of Happiness.""

"The Savior teaches that we will have tribulation in the world, but we should "be of good cheer" because He has "overcome the world". His Atonement reaches and is powerful enough not only to pay the price for sin but also to heal every mortal affliction… He knows of our anguish, and He is there for us. Like the good Samaritan in His parable, when He finds us wounded at the wayside, He binds up our wounds and cares for us. Brothers and sisters, the healing power of His Atonement is for you, for us, for all. "
