Sky I feel your pain quite often
"But really is about taking one day at a time and making the most out of each.
This mess will always be around to haunt me through the pain of others and regrets but we are all making progress and you too, life is not a breeze and the downs will come. We just have to find the strength and its source we know so well and ride the tough times through and when we are on a high, soak it all in.

Life sucks but it also rocks big tiem at times.

Just hang in there for now

You're a good dude"

Plenty of success stories here too!
"It's so easy to focus on the negative in recovery....Don't forget to slow down and look for the tender mercies of the Lord. There are some great folks on, women and couples who have seen some incredible success in recovery. Slow life for today and stop looking down the road.
Also there is a tendency to blame all the bad in life on your addiction. Life happens, and it's not all related to the addiction. Roll with the punches and don't get so down on your self. Remember that Recovery is a process. Be process oriented. Satan's plan was to look at the result instead of the process.

I know what you mean...
"Some days I am so angry, at myself, at the World, at the Church, at my wife, at my mother, at God. Learning not to resent is part of the deal. Easier said than done, I know. But hang in there... don't ever give up. Keep talking...keep trying...even if it's for the next 60 minutes."

"Nothing is beyond [Christ’s] redeeming reach or His encircling empathy. Therefore, we should not complain about our own life’s not being a rose garden when we remember who wore the crown of thorns! Having bled at every pore, how red His raiment must have been in Gethsemane, how crimson that cloak! No wonder, when Christ comes in power and glory, that He will come in reminding red attire, signifying not only the winepress of wrath, but also to bring to our remembrance how He suffered for each of us in Gethsemane and on Calvary!"
